Long before I decided to become a plastic surgeon, the symmetry part of my brain has always been at the forefront for me, you might even say, Plastic Surgery chose me instead of me choosing plastic surgery.
Going through medical school I always felt encompassing the appearance outcome for a patient was equally important to the surgical success. Instead of just closing an appendicitis incision or a Cesarian section I always approached cases with let’s make this look as beautiful as we can. Plastic surgery was where I needed to be and where I could make the greatest difference for people.
I’ve never been a gambler inside or outside of the operating room, which is why I never take chances with my patients’ care. All surgeries are performed with a surgical strategy and the patients’ expressed desires for the outcome they are wanting. There is no guesswork about what will make a patient happy.
Dr. Zachary Chizmar

Dr. Chizmar joined the practice in 2026 after five years of general surgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine and plastic surgery training at UT Southwestern. Dual-trained in general and plastic surgery, he focuses on breast and body contouring, facelift, rhinoplasty, and reconstructive surgery.
I’m a straight shooter. I want my patients to get realistic results, and that starts with honest, open conversation. It’s your body and your results at stake, so I listen first: your hopes, your concerns, what you want to see in the mirror. Then we build the plan together.
My first experience with plastic surgery was as a patient. At 16 I broke my nose badly at a concert, and a plastic surgeon fixed it. I learned firsthand how much this field can change how you feel about yourself. I’ve been in my patients’ shoes, and I hold on to that every day.
