How to Plan Plastic Surgery & Med Spa Treatments for a Holiday Reveal

Couple embracing in front of christmas lightsAlthough it might seem like snowy weather and the holiday season are far, far away, they’re really just around the corner. And if you’d like to get a few cosmetic treatments in time for the holidays, you’ll want to start planning soon.

Here are a few tips for planning some of the most popular cosmetic treatments to see results by Christmas.

Breast Enhancement

If you’re planning your breast enhancement procedure for a big reveal at the yearly Christmas party, you’ll want to consult with your plastic surgeon soon. It can take at least 3 months after getting breast implants to see your final results, so get your appointment in the books this fall.

Mommy Makeover

Like breast augmentation, a mommy makeover will require a few months of recovery before you can expect to see your full results. So if you want to maximize your big holiday reveal, start planning your mommy makeover at least 3 to 4 months in advance.

If you’re planning on shopping for a special dress or other holiday clothes after your mommy makeover, wait until swelling has subsided and your new body shape has made an appearance.

Most mommy makeovers include breast enhancement, a tummy tuck and liposuction.

Med Spa Treatments

Most med spa treatments don’t take quite as much planning, but you still don’t want to schedule any treatments within a day or so before an important event. If you’re getting BOTOX® or fillers, schedule your appointment at least 2 weeks before you want to show off your results.

If you’ve never had a facial, microdermabrasion or chemical peel before, give yourself some wiggle room in case you experience redness or breakouts.
