Our Staff

Dr. Daniel’s staff is committed to your comfort and safety above all else. Each staff member understands that cosmetic surgery is not an everyday occurrence for patients. They know that questions must be answered quickly and that concerns must be addressed. Patients often say that the staff treats them with the same sensitivity as a good friend.

susangkomenDr. Daniel’s office was the 3rd place team in Lane County raising donations for the 2012 Eugene, OR Race for the Cure.  Also, Dr. Daniel was the 2nd highest individual to raise support for the race, and our Certified Advanced Aesthetician Sabel Sanders was the 3rd highest individual.

Amanda Aldrich

Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

Three things about me:

  1. I have a passion for music. I have been playing the drums 24 years, composing music for 16, and singing since before I could talk!
  2. I love to travel, Europe is my favorite but anywhere and anytime will do!
  3. I am a history and architecture buff; nothing beats an interesting fact about ancient times or a gorgeous castle overlooking a cozy village.

In 2010, I started my career in Los Angeles as an RN specializing in Aesthetic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. I went on to obtain my Bachelors in Nursing with a focus on Community Health, Masters in Nursing Administration and Management, and national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I’ve been working the operating room setting ever since. It’s been a dream of mine since the beginning of my academic journey to end up back in an aesthetic practice. Meeting Dr. Daniel in surgery and having the opportunity to join this team as a provider is a dream come true for me!

Patricia Trapnell

Registered Nurse

Three things about me:

  1. I used to be a professional marathon runner. I ran for Power Bar, Nike, and FrontRunner. My best time was a 2:47 marathon.
  2. I did 23andme and found out I am 44.5% Native American, 33% Spanish, the rest… I’m a mutt.
  3. I have traveled a ton! Europe, Central America, South America, and Asia. I can’t get enough and my kids are lucky enough to have come with me.

I’m a registered nurse with over 19 years of experience in the field of aesthetic medicine and a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist. As an advanced injector, I love being able to challenge myself, expand my knowledge, and look at a patient’s face and know exactly what it needs! When I’m not administering my favorite cosmetic procedures, I adore spending my time with my 3 beautiful children!

Sabel Fleshman

Certified Advanced Aesthetician, Practice Development & Operations Director

Three things about me:

  1. I spoke French before I spoke English.
  2. BRAVO TV is my guilty pleasure.
  3. Fashion makes my heart beat fast!

When people ask me what I do for a living I never hesitate to respond with “I make people feel better.” I’ve been treating skin since 1989 and when I met Dr. Daniel in 1999. The combination of beauty meeting science ignited both a passion and a drive in me to become the best in my field. I feel privileged to be able to work with the best technology in my industry. I’m grateful for my clients and enjoy helping and meeting new people every day. My other role in the practice allows me to use my creative mind and to manage the most amazing team of professionals that you will ever encounter.

Jose Coats

Certified Advanced Aesthetician

Three things about me:

  1. I don’t like cheesecake.
  2. I once lived in Mexico with no running water or electricity for 6 months.
  3. I probably spend more money on gym clothes than regular clothes.

I am an Oregon native who was born and raised here in the Willamette Valley. I enjoy working out, good food and hanging out with close friends and family. I took an interest in skin care at an early age and enjoy helping my patients look their best. Before working for Dr. Daniel, I spray tanned bodybuilders and fitness competitors for competitions. Now with the use of lasers and physician dispensed skin care, I am able to treat and enhance a wide variety of patient skin types.

Sarah Crabtree

Three things about me:

  1. I would rather be barefoot or wear rubber boots than shoes.
  2. I swoon at the thought of receiving a handwritten letter in the mail.
  3. I am crazy for classic country music and old honky tonk bars.

I may not be the newest member of our team or at the front desk anymore but I am DEFINITELY still here! After getting a push in the right direction from Dr. Daniel, Sabel and Jose (could I get any better mentors?!?!) AND amazing support from the rest of our team I went back to school and got my aesthetics license and am now seeing patients on the Spa Side. I’ve always had an interest in skin care and love to have my patients walk out after a treatment feeling and looking their best. I know that having my skin feeling and looking it’s best makes me feel so much better – that’s what I want for all my patients. I cannot wait to have you come in and see me!

Shelbey Keller

Front Desk Coordinator

Three things about me:

  1. I love all things medicine and asking Dr. Daniel a million questions about it.
  2. My greatest achievement is winning a hula hoop contest in fourth grade.
  3. I try my best to love everything, but rats terrify me.

Growing up I have always had a passion for medicine and anything involving creativity. Working at Dr. Daniel’s has allowed me to combine both, as plastic surgery is a form of art. I love being in an environment where I can learn and grow every day thanks to my wonderful coworkers. When I am not at work I am either in the library, on the mountain, or in the gym.

Ashley Swank

Administrative Assistant

Three things about me:

  1. I was born in South Korea.
  2. I love bacon!
  3. I strongly dislike shopping of any kind. I’d rather play a video game.

I graduated from the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!) in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Sociology. Initially, the medical field was completely foreign to me, but I have learned so much with the help of Dr. Daniel and our other providers. When I’m not in the office, I’m probably on my couch watching Netflix with my dog, Mya.

Dana Schmidt

Patient Care Coordinator

Three things about me:

  1. Cooking for people makes me happy!
  2. I love yoga
  3. I was a singer in a rock n’ roll band

I am so happy to be back as the Patient Care Coordinator for Dr. Daniel! I held this same position over ten years ago and as they say, all things come back full circle. I have a strong customer service background and connect easily with people. My goal as the Patient Care Coordinator is to make every patient’s experience positive, seamless and memorable. When I’m not working I enjoy time with friends & family, golf, camping, and a good glass of wine!

Three things about me:

  1. I love squirrels, my pony, bunnies and endless YouTube animal videos
  2. I was homeschooled for 6 years.
  3. I love to be adventurous, outdoors and exploring this beautiful world.

I met Dr. Daniel when I started riding horses with his family several years ago. At the time I was attending a very well-known cosmetology program in Portland. Becoming an Aesthetician was my goal and I knew that being a part of his team would be in my future someday. After graduation I moved back home to Roseburg and all these years later that dream became a reality! I opened my own office and began working with Dr. Daniel’s CoolSculpting patients in and around Douglas County. I have recently moved to Eugene and will now establish myself here locally. I consider myself very blessed to be part of his team.
